This place is legendary.
A Los Angeles icon. This place is synonymous with great BBQ in SoCal. The flavor is immaculate, the meat is cooked to perfection, there are several locations, and the staff is courteous and personal.

The mild sauce is tasty, tangy, and savory, and the spicy, my personal favorite, doesn't skimp on the heat. The prices are great and the prices are super reasonable for the amount of food you get.

Treat yourself to some sides while you're there, particularly the collard green and the mac and cheese.

Seriously, this place is fantastic and I can't rate it highly enough. I've eaten all over LA and a lot of these other restaurants are out and out lying when they claim to have flavorful food. Accept no bland imitations. Demand your food has actual flavor. Actual soul.

Let me start by saying the food is AMAZING. Best BBQ I've had in a while. The wait to order is quite long, but the food makes up for it. I tried the Dinner combination which comes with ribs brisket and hot links. All the dinners come with beans and potato salad. Highly recommend this spot!

Who ever is preparing that meat they need an award!!!!  They need a gold medal or something because this BBQ is the best I've ever tasted/eaten . It reminds me of soul food but in the form of BBQ . No commercial sauces here , my favorite would have to be the mild with a splash of spicy. The chicken is prep to perfection no fat or left over skin it's cooked to perfection. The beef melts in your mouth again no extra fat hanging. The ribs beef and pork are tender as ever and the tips are just amazing !!!!! Hands down this is the only BBQ I can eat on more than one occasion !!!!

Finger licking GOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ps if you eat this and you have plans forget about it a nice long nap is sure to follow FOOD COMA !!!!!!

Great for those who are looking for quality BBQ in South L.A. and crave a taste of tangy sauce. It's just a quick in-and-out venue. Stand while you wait just like the other two or three locations in L.A. (Crenshaw & Slauson). Lots of people stop in for lunch (before 4pm) to catch the better meal deals. Blue collar men seem to frequent this location.
